Louis F. Seames, Jr.

Louis F. Seames, Jr., 90, of Fredonia died Saturday evening, March 17, 2018 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk. He was born August 11, 1927 in Buffalo, the son of the late Louis and Edith (Setter) Seames.

Louis served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946. He had been employed by the Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, retiring as Superintendent of Transportation.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He also had a love for creating a village with his Lionel train sets.

Survivors include one son, Donald R. (Cindy) Seames of Le Roy; two daughters, Elizabeth J. (Gary) Worosz of Dunkirk and Susan L. Samuelson of Hudson, FL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Kiernan) Seames, who died January 4, 2006.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 AM in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple Street, Fredonia. Pastor William Novack will officiate. There will be no prior visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, Dunkirk.
