Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Brocton man Thursday afternoon for a violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act. Deputies say 44-year-old Victor Martinez, who is a registered level 3 sex offender, failed to comply with the terms of the sex offender registry. One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Chautauqua County Thursday afternoon. New York's statewide unemployment rate decreased from 4.7% to 4.6% last month. That's according to preliminary figures released by the New York State Department of Labor on Thursday. From December 2016 to December 2017, New York State's private sector job count rose by 111,700, or 1.4%.
