Craig A. Frazier

Craig A. Frazier, 69, of Fredonia died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at home. He was born September 13, 1947 in Dunkirk, son of the late Grover and Dolores (Ceranowicz) Frazier.

A graduate of Dunkirk Industrial High School, Class of 1965, Craig served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1969, stationed in Korea with the 23rd Infantry. He also received the National Defense Service Medal and the Expert Rifle Badge.

After his service to his country, Craig drove truck over the road for many years and later owned and operated Fredonia Gravel Products on Route 60 in Fredonia until his health failed.

Craig's passion was motocross racing and motorcycles. He spent many years traveling the northeast with his grandsons, as the team mechanic and coach.

He was a regular at Bob Evans Restaurant, going for coffee nearly every morning. Bob Evanás was actually built on gravel Craig sold from his gravel pit.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara J. (Giambrone) Frazier; children, Dawn Fischetti of Merrick, NY and Paula (John) Schuk of Fredonia; grandchildren, Alex, Gabby and Sophia Fischetti, John "J.J." Bankosh, Zackary and Dylan Schuk; a brother, Terry (Louise) Frazier; as well as nieces and nephews. Preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a grandson, Jacob Schuk, who died October 15, 2015; brother, Dennis Frazier; and nephew, Tommy Frazier.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Wednesday, June 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk.

Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
