Sally L. Hintz, 67, of Otto passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home. She was born January 11, 1950 in Auburn, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Maywalt) O'Hora.
On January 1, 1997, she married Jerold Hintz, who survives.
Mrs. Hintz was previously a secondgrade teacher at Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School until her retirement. She was also a wedding photographer.
Mrs. Hintz was a member at the Gowanda Free Methodist Church, as well as the NYSUT. She enjoyed gardening and knitting, as well as donating many pairs of mittens, gloves and scarves through her church.
Besides her loving husband, Mrs. Hintz is survived by three daughters, Elisabeth (Matthew) Weaver of Leesburg, VA, Dr. Kathryn (Joe) Wheel of Bethlehem, PA and Emily Wheel of Blasdell. Also survived by a stepson, Matthew Hintz of Otto and a stepdaughter, Rachel Hintz of Otto. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas (Linda) O'Hora of Auburn; a sister, Nancy (Leon) Patelle of Princeton, NJ; as well as three grandchildren, Lily, Annette and James; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 E. Main St., Gowanda on Friday, March 10 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11 from the Gowanda Free Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Liberty Park Cemetery.
