Chautauqua County Democrats are backing the County's acting DA for election to a full four year term in the November general election. Chautauqua County Democratic Committee Chair Norm Green has announced that the full County Democratic Committee met last Thursday in Mayville and unanimously endorsed Acting District Attorney Patrick Swanson. Green says the endorsements usually come in May. But because of Governor Andrew Cuomo's constitutional power to appoint to fill the vacancy for the office until the election, Green says the party wanted to get on the record that Swanson is the best and most qualified lawyer for the job. Swanson recently announced that he will be running for the office.
