Advocates, City Officials Plant Pinwheels for Child Abuse Prevention Month

Advocates for abused and neglected children were in Dunkirk on Wednesday as part of Chautauqua County's Pinwheels for Prevention campaign. City officials were also on hand at City Hall to help plant pinwheels to bring awareness to the issue of child abuse. One of the advocates was Kayleah Feser, a Dunkirk native who is a social worker with the Child Advocacy Program. Dunkirk Mayor Kate Wdowiasz proclaimed April Child Abuse Prevention Month in the city. Pinwheel planting events were also recently held in Jamestown and Mayville.
