The latest winter storm to hit the Northeast is out to sea and so is the wrap around moisture that dumped a lot of snow over the hilltops of Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Southern Erie counties on Wednesday. The National Weather Service in Buffalo reports that 15.6 inches of snow was reported in Perrysburg, but that seemed like a puny amount when compared with the snowfall in Gerry where 28 inches was reported. Unofficially, about 14 inches in Cassadaga. Other reports included 11 inches in Springville, and 8 inches in Forestville. While the major storm has left the region, more snow showers are in the forecast today, with an inch or less today and 1 to 2 inches tonight.
