Winter Storm Warning continues until early Thursday

The National Weather Service is continuing a Winter Storm Warning until 2 am Thursday for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Southern Erie counties. Heavy snow and blowing snow is expected with additional snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches through tonight. Meteorologist David Church at the NWS Office in Buffalo says the greatest snowfall totals will occur over the higher terrain...

Travel will be difficult at times, including the morning commute. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, and could help bring down snow covered tree limbs.
