Over 30 people were injured, including five firefighters, after an explosion and fire at a cosmetics plant in Orange County, New York. A steady stream of tankers coming in from all parts of Orange County helped firefighters get water onto the fire. The explosion occurred first, then the fire happened around 10:30 am in the town of New Windsor. The company is called Verla International and it produces nail polish, lotions, perfumes, and other cosmetics. Governor Andrew Cuomo has dispatched emergency response personnel and resources to the scene to assist local officials.
