Eagles player continued protest during Eagles-Bills preseason game

The Buffalo Bills lost their second preseason game last night to the Philadelphia Eagles 20-16, but that was not the only story-line from the game. Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins continued his protest of social injustice by raising a fist over his head during the playing of the national anthem. In a show of support, Eagles defensive end Chris Long kept his hand on Jenkins' back for the entire playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner," then gave Jenkins a pat on the shoulder pads and a hug when the song was over. Long says he personally will not knee for the national anthem, but supports those who protest...

Long-Will not be kneeling

Long is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia, the location of last weekend's racial violence.
