Chautauqua County has been awarded $657,306 towards upgrading critical technology and improving emergency communication systems. The funding is part of a $45 million State Interoperable Communications Grant announced today by Governor Andrew Cuomo. The funding will enable local governments to expand their ability to communicate, exchange valuable data, and streamline information through their systems to enhance collaboration and assist first responders. In a statement, State Senator Cathy Young said, "Ensuring our first responders have the most up to date technology available when seconds can mean life or death is invaluable."
