Police investigate arson involving stolen vehicle in Jamestown

Jamestown Police are investigating an arson involving a stolen car that was discovered early Friday morning in the area off of Lister Avenue near the railroad tracks.  Police say a passerby noticed the vehicle to be fully engulfed in flames around 4:45 am.  Jamestown firefighters extinguished the blaze involving a 2010 Toyota Camry.  Further investigation determined that the vehicle was stolen from a driveway of a residence on Lovall Avenue, not far from the location of the fire.  Anyone with information on the incident can call JPD's anonymous tip line at 483-TIPS or Crime Stoppers at 867-6161 where tipsters can be eligible for a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the suspect. All calls will be kept anonymous.
