Two people from Eden have been taken into custody in connection with a burglary earlier this month. The Erie County Sheriff's Office responded to the burglary on September 18th in the Town of Colden, where firearms, credit cards, and various personal items were stolen. A week-long investigation led to the arrest of 39-year-old Anthony Haake and 37-year-old Rebecca Ott on Wednesday. Following their arrests, deputies and detectives searched their residence and recovered many of the stolen items from the burglary, as well as narcotics. Haake faces felony counts of 2nd-degree burglary, 3rd-degree grand larceny, 4th-degree grand larceny, 4th-degree grand larceny of a credit card, and 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property, as well as misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal mischief. Ott was charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property, two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of stolen property, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Haake and Ott were sent to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
