New York State lawmakers passed 100 fewer bills during this year's legislative session than in 2015. According to data released this week by the New York Public Interest Research Group, a total of 618 pieces of legislation made it through the full legislature before lawmakers ended their session in June. Last year, legislators passed 718 bills. The number of bills passed by the state legislature has been on a downward recent in recent years.
