A Clymer man has been charged under Leandra's Law for drunk driving with a child in his vehicle. Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers pulled over for speeding on Route 474 in the Town of French Creek just before 6:45 PM Friday. After an investigation, deputies determined that the driver, Matthew Kern, was intoxicated. Kern also allegedly had a child under the age of 16 in his vehicle. Kern was arrested on several charges, including felony aggravated DWI, DWI, refusal to take a breath test, unsafe tire, unregistered motor vehicle, and speeding. He will appear in French Creek Town Court at a later date.
