Jamestown Community College is hosting a Global Learning Showcase on Tuesday, April 16th. The event, which is free to attend and open to the public, includes a study abroad fair at 11:00 AM in the Student Union of the Hamilton Collegiate Center with a flag dedication and speakers at 12:00 PM.

The showcase includes a panel discussion, Q&A session, and opportunities to interact with students and faculty engaged in study abroad and global learning experiences at JCC. Attendees will also learn about the symbolism of flags and have the chance to make their own.

"Our international students are very excited to share their culture and countries with our community," said Rudi Andolora, project manager for Global Learning at JCC. "We welcome all to join us for a ceremony where dozens of flags representing the countries of our many international students over the years will be raised in the Student Union."

As part of the event, JCC students traveling to Guatemala next summer will sell handmade bracelets to raise money for the Pulsera Project, a non-profit that funds educational, social, environmental, and youth programs in Central America.

An international lunch menu will be available for cash purchase in the cafe located next to the Student Union.
