Location: Hickory Hurst Farm, West Lake Road, Mayville

Container gardening is great for small spaces and buckets make great containers for growing flowers, fruits and veggies.  Bring a clean, gently-used 5-gallon bucket (with a bail handle) for planting.  Workshop fee includes potting soil and a choice of two seedling transplants (tomato, pepper, or cucumber), along with a small packet of seeds (basil or parsley). Harvest the fruits of your labor with the make-and-take mini-garden.  Novice and experienced gardeners welcomed.  Minimum age: 10 years.
