A traffic stop in Frewsburg late Saturday resulted in charges against the driver of the vehicle and her passenger. Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers stopped a vehicle on Main Street driven by 26-year-old Caitlin Arnold of Jamestown just before midnight. A registration check of Arnold's vehicle revealed that the registration was suspended and the vehicle uninsured. Further investigation revealed that a passenger, 52-year-old Burdette Thomas of Warren, Pennsylvania, was allegedly in possession of 2.5 grams of meth. Thomas was charged with 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, while Arnold was charged with operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended, unlicensed operation, and uninsured motor vehicle. Both are scheduled to appear in Carroll Town Court at a later date.
