A North East, Pennsylvania man faces a number of charges after nearly striking a guardrail Friday afternoon in the Town of Ripley. Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers pulled the vehicle over on Route 5 just before 3:45 PM, and after an investigation, determined that the driver, 52-year-old James Woodworth, was allegedly intoxicated. A check of Woodworth's driving record showed that his license was suspended in New York State. Woodworth was charged with DWI, 3rd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and moving from lane unsafely, and is scheduled to appear in Ripley Town Court at a later date.
