Carmen M. Torres-Hernandez, 80, of Dunkirk passed away peacefully Friday evening, October 23, 2026. She was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on December 2, 1945, the daughter Ramon Torres and Edith Hernandez.
Carmen was a school teacher at S.U. Federico Degetau in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico for many years until her retirement.
She had a love for flowers and always enjoyed having a fresh bouquet in her home, bringing beauty and warmth to her surroundings.
There was nothing Carmen enjoyed more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carmen is survived by her loving children, Ted (Lourdes Zayas), Mayra (Andres Colon) Berrios, Ramon Berrios and Carmen Rosa Berrios; and her grandchildren, Christian, Valeria, Angel, Angelica, Diane, Angelys, Rafael, Ariana, Patricia, Ted Kenner and Jordanalys.
Arrangements are being handled by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue in Dunkirk.
