Joel Pacheco-Gonzalez of Dunkirk died on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Rochester General Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on September 5, 1978 to the late Rufino Pacheco and Ivelis Gonzalez, he was 48. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Echevarris-Velasquez; sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, burial will be held privately in his hometown.
Arrangements have been lovingly made by the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 East Main Street in Fredonia.
