Dennis P. Swingle, 75, of Dunkirk passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst. Born in Dunkirk on July 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Donald R. Swingle, Sr. and Angeline (Paternosh) Swingle.
A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Dennis attended Dunkirk High School. He had a lifelong passion for cars and took great interest in classic sports cars. He was also an avid football fan and looked forward to attending the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game each year with his friends, Jim Bunge and Ed Strawser.
Dennis enjoyed collecting vintage beer signs and old toys, and he had a great love for animals. He will be remembered for his kind nature, his many interests, and the friendships he formed throughout his life.
Dennis is survived by his brother, Donald R. Swingle, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Swingle.
Funeral services will be held in private at the convenience of the family.
