Humberto Morán, 83, of Dunkirk died on Monday, August 24, 2026. He was born on February 25, 1943 in San Lorenzo, El Salvador to Tránsito López-Hernández and Carmen Morán-Aguilar.
Humberto was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elba Morán; as well as his parents, Tránsito López-Hernández and Carmen Morán-Aguilar. He is lovingly remembered by his family, including his three sons, Wilberto Morán (wife Debbie), Walter Morán (wife Molly) and Carlos Antonio Morán; his beloved grandchildren, Kaylee Morán, Giovanni Morán, Yolie Morán and Charlie Morán; as well as his cherished nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much.
Humberto was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply. He was a hard-working man who took great pride in providing for those he loved.
Humberto was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 4, 2008, and his faith was an important part of his life. When his health allowed, he found great joy in sharing his faith with others and teaching them about the Bible.
He also loved spending time outdoors, especially working in his garden. He enjoyed soccer and appreciated the simple pleasures of being outside and surrounded by nature.
Humberto will be remembered for his love for his family, his strong work ethic, his faith in Jehovah, and the many memories he created with those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend calling hours on Saturday, August 29 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue in Dunkirk. Memorial services will begin at 1:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses; 970 Central Avenue in Dunkirk. Interment will be held in private.
