Patricia A. Raby, 78, of the Town of Dayton passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026. She was born on July 21, 1947 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Howard and Verna (Mitrision) Canty.
On August 17, 1968, she married David Raby, who survives.
Mrs. Raby was an elementary teacher in the North Tonawanda Central School District for 27 years and was an adjunct professor at SUNY Fredonia for 10 years.
She loved gardening, knitting, and was a loving grandmother.
Besides her loving husband of 57 years, she is survived by two daughters, Heather (Ben) Westlund and Jessica (Paul) Csati, both of Versailles; two grandchildren, Lyric and Darwin Westlund; a brother, Michael (Denise) Canty; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Canty.
Friends may call on Friday, June 26 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Mentley Funeral Home, Inc., 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27 at 11:00 AM.
Memorials may be made to the Tunnels to Towers.
