Florence H. Reynolds, age 89, of Gowanda passed away early Wednesday morning, June 11, 2025 at home, surrounded by family. She was born in Rochester on March 23, 1936, the daughter of Henry and Helen (Brown) Smith.
Florance married Ralph S. Reynolds in Franklinville on September 19, 1953; Ralph passed away on April 4, 1994.
Florance retired from the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center, where she worked as a therapy aide. A member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Gowanda, Florance was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include three children, Debbie (Douglas) Seaner of Akron, Cindy (David) Grudzien of South Carolina and Todd Reynolds of Gowanda; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Smith of Jacksonville, FL and Donald (Vicki) Smith of Franklinville; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 41 years, Ralph; two sons, James Reynolds (2007) and Bradley Reynolds (2008); and sisters, Shirley Zinter, Eleanor Oney and Grace Auge.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 AM in the Mount Prospect Cemetery, 52 Chestnut Street in Franklinville (please assemble at the cemetery).
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a local charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are by the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center Street in Gowanda.
