Theodore J. "Teddy" Kuhaneck, Sr., age 76, of Dayton passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 9, 2025 at home. He was born on April 2, 1949, the son of Peter and Pauline (Fuller) Kuhaneck. Peter passed away in 1998, and Pauline passed in 2004.
Ted honorably served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Teddy married Rose (Bond) Kuhaneck, who passed away on November 1, 2022.
Teddy was a member of the James Cruden VFW POST 5007 of Gowanda and the South Dayton Anerican Legion. He served on the Board of both clubs at various times and recently was actively involved with the VFW in Gowanda. He was a good mechanic and worked on many vehicles for friends and family throughout the years. He will be missed.
Survivors include a son, T.J. (Kelly) Kuhaneck of Dayton; a daughter, Angela (Randy) Gardner of Florida; grandchildren, Craig "C.J.," Destiny, Nicholas, Anthony and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Grayson, Cameron, Layne, Reid, Kyle, Trent, Natalie and Mia; a great-great-grandson, Wesley; and a sister, Wilma Parry. Along with his parents, Teddy was preceded in death by his wife; and his brother, Peter Kuhaneck.
Per Teddy's request, services will be private.
