(Douglas) Walter of Portland and Kevin (Amber) Powell of Ashville; five cherished grandchildren, Devin (Martina) and Derek Walter, Hope, Joshua and Hannah Powell; his father, Irving Powell of Portland; siblings, Jeffrey (Savina) Powell of Virginia Beach, VA, William "Bill" Powell of Portland, Jennifer (late Dennis) Norton of Jensen Beach, FL and Susan (James) Walker of Forestville; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Elenor Powell.

Friends may call on Friday, May 2 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Mason Funeral home, 37 Clinton Street in Westfield. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3 at 11:00 AM at the Portland Congregational Church, 8649 Church Street in Portland. Interment will be private in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
