Eugene F. Tomaszewski, Jr., 56, of Dunkirk died Friday morning, December 31, 2021 at Brooks Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 19, 1965 in Dunkirk, the son of the late Eugene F. Sr. and Josephine (O'Geen) Tomaszewski.
A lifelong area resident, Eugene was a graduate of Fredonia High School, Class of 1983. Eugene proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1983-1989. He was previously employed by RHI Monofrax in Falconer for 22 years. He was a member of the First Ward Falcon Club.
Eugene enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to travel, having been to almost all 50 states. He loved to make jokes and was an avid Bills fan. He was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Christa E. Kelley; two sons, Alec (Shelby) Tomaszewski of Fayetteville, NC and Austin Tomaszewski of Sanford, NC; one daughter, Leah Tomaszewski of Dunkirk; three grandchildren, Eliza, Kingsley and Greyson, all of Fayetteville, NC; his four faithful dachshunds, Rosie, Rocky, Luther and Lena; two sisters, Karen Tomaszewski of St. Louis, MO and Julia (Jim McIntire) Tomaszewski of Jamestown; two brothers, Phillip (Karla) Tomaszewski of Clermont, FL and Daniel (Kristin) Tomaszewski of Fredonia; along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Point Gratiot Brooks Pavilion in Dunkirk. Food and beverages will be served. Casual.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Leah Tomaszewski Trust, and can be sent in care of Christa Kelley, 12 West 5th Street, Dunkirk, NY 14048.
