James Floyd Wright, Jr.

James Floyd "Jimmy" Wright, Jr., 46, of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Fredonia, was a man of great strengths. However, no matter how strong a person is, life has a way of changing the direction. For those who knew James, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

Jimmy was born on July 3, 1974 and passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was a graduate of Fredonia Central School.

He is survived by his loving companion, Debbie; three cherished daughters, Karlie Jean, Jamie Lynn and Jada Marie; along with his parents, James and Paulette Wright. He is also survived by his two beautiful sisters, Bren (Chad) Brant and Stacy (Ralph) Wright; as well as his niece, Addison; and nephew, Nicholas Brant. He leaves behind many family and friends that were very dear to him.

James was a loyal Boy Scout of Troop 267, which took him on many adventures, some of which were canoeing trips to Algonquin Provincial Park in Canada and to Philmont Scout Ranch BSA in New Mexico. James was an avid camper from a very young age, when he would go camping with his grandparents. Family camping was his passion. He took his family on many camping adventures. This led him to his famous Dutch oven cooking. He could cook many delicious meals which would win him the "Jones" award at Hidden Valley campgrounds. Anybody who knew James knew he was a jack-of-all-trades and was always willing to assist anyone in need; he had his hands in many projects. His motto was, "Will work for beer."

James was a member in many organizations through out the years and has affected many people in his lifetime, including but not limited to Fredonia Fire Department, Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 59, and the Fredonia Beaver Club.

James was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Carolyn Wright; maternal grandparents, Paul and Doris Pacos; also by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a ceremony to celebrate his life in Florida on Saturday, December 5. A ceremony for family and friends in Fredonia will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, commencing at 6:00 PM at the family residence, 138 Seymour Street in Fredonia.
