A local organization dedicated to beautifying the City of Dunkirk is undertaking a project to construct a kid-designed nature play trail at Point Gratiot Park, and it's looking for volunteers to help bring it to fruition. Marybeth Muldowney, who chairs Revitalize Dunkirk's Trail Committee, says the inspiration for the "Discovery Way" came when she and some friends traveled to Letchworth State Park a few years ago and visited a nature trail there. The timeline for construction will be June 2-5. Muldowney says Revitalize Dunkirk needs 20 volunteers on the first day, 40 volunteers each of the next two days, and 60 volunteers on the final day.
