Marc Price, Steve Hytner Look Back on Their Best-Known Sitcom Roles

Two comedians who are well-known for the roles they played on major NBC sitcoms performed at the Fredonia Opera House on Friday for a night of stand-up and nostalgia. Prior to their show, Marc Price and Steve Hytner were guests on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program. Price says he has "grown to cope" with being called "Skippy," the character that he portrayed on the sitcom "Family Ties." He says he was very fortunate to be a small part of that show that helped launch the career of Michael J. Fox, who was "completely unknown" when that show debuted in 1982...

Hytner portrayed the role of Kenny Bania on the sitcom "Seinfeld" for four seasons, beginning with Season 6. Hytner says Jerry Seinfeld loved that character, and he would try to stick him in episodes he wasn't in. He says the famous "Soup Nazi" episode in 1994 is a perfect example...
Steve Hytner: that move stuck
Hytner has also appeared in sitcoms like "Modern Family," "Two and a Half Men" and "King of Queens." Price's career has included sharing the stage with Seinfeld and Jay Leno, as well as starring in movies with hard rock legends Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons.
