The Dunkirk Police Department continued its Reader Day program this week with a visit to School 7. On Thursday, students got to meet not only police officers, but also K-9 Matty, who stopped by each classroom. The children learned about the capabilities of K-9s and why they are essential to keeping the community safe. The department's Reader Day program is done in partnership with the Dunkirk City School District.
