

Two people were allegedly caught smuggling drugs within Chautauqua County Jail, one person being an inmate already in custody. During visitation hours on Thursday around 10:00 AM, corrections officers observed 56-year-old Debbie Hires passing an object to inmate 60-year-old Randall Rolison. Rolison was already serving time after receiving a prison sentence for two vehicular fatalities. The object was later found to be a package containing methamphetamine, which Rolison allegedly placed inside his mouth. Hires was arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband in the 1st degree, criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. Rolison was charged with promoting prison contraband in the 1st degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. Both suspects were arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Program at the jail.
