Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer is calling on Congress to quickly pass the FAA reauthorization bill, which includes a 1,500-hour pilot training requirement that was established following the deadly crash of Colgan Air Flight 3407 in Western New York. The New York Democrat announced his push on Monday, the 15th anniversary of the crash that killed 50 people in Clarence. Charles Schumer: proud to fight alongside families
The victims of the February 2009 crash included two Westfield residents and a Jamestown native. Schumer says working alongside the families has been "one of the most satisfying and inspirational" things he has done in his career in Washington.
