County Legislature Tables Measure on Funding to Create Public Arts Program

The Chautauqua County Legislature voted 17-1 to table action on a resolution to allocate $100,000 to help create a public arts program. The agreement with the Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation would use 3% reserve funding for the effort. Wilfong says they would also like to know what the plan is to help promote the arts across the county. Sheridan Republican Terry Niebel cast the lone "no" vote for tabling the measure.
