Planning is underway for 2022 Mayville Winter Festival

The Mayville-Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that planning has commenced for the 2022 Mayville Winter Festival, which will run February 18-20 in 2022.

The 2021 edition was canceled due to an uptick in COVID-19 cases. Among new additions to the festival this year is a name change. To simplify the lengthy name and keep it connected to the Mayville area, the festival formerly known as the President's Day Weekend Winter Festival will now be known simply as the Mayville Winter Festival. The committee will continue to keep it scheduled during President's Day Weekend.

The dates for the 2022 festival are as follows:

Friday, February 18: Opening ceremonies in the evening with the lighting of the castle along with the crowning of King and Queen.

Saturday, February 19: Cold Water Rescue, the Polar Plunge, a chili cook-off, the In-Crowd from 5-8 pm, fireworks at 8 pm, along with food trucks, carriage rides, snowmobile rides, ice fishing, vendors, and much more!

Sunday, February 20: The 2nd annual Winter Fest 5K, snowmobile rides and carriage rides, ice fishing, vendors and food trucks, and much more!

For details on each of the events happening, please check out the Mayville-Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and look at the scheduled events.
