Three Jamestown Residents Indicted for Operating Methamphetamine Ring

Three Jamestown residents were indicted Tuesday on federal charges related to the operation of a methamphetamine ring in the south county city between September and October 23rd. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Violanti says 35-year-old Richard Kinsey, Jr., 23-year-old Brandi Whitford, and 39-year-old Terrance McRae have been charged with narcotics conspiracy. Kinsey and Whitford are also charged with using and maintaining a drug-involved premises and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, while McRae was additionally charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed a state search warrant at an apartment at 320 Newland Avenue on September 6th. Kinsey and Whitford were home at the time, and McRae was seen exiting the residence to a second-story porch roof, where he allegedly threw a firearm to the ground. Investigators recovered three additional firearms, eight ounces of suspected meth throughout the apartment, approximately $11,000 in cash, assorted ammunition, and drug paraphernalia to include scales and packaging material. The three suspects face 10 years to life in prison if convicted.
