Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Dunkirk man on charges stemming from a report of stolen firearms from a Town of Portland residence last month. 39-year-old Jarrett Sikes was taken into custody on Tuesday on warrants for 3rd-degree grand larceny from the Town of Portland and 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property from the City of Dunkirk. Sikes is accused of taking seven firearms from a residence on Lake Avenue on October 6th. Deputies later recovered a portion of the missing firearms from Sikes' residence in the City of Dunkirk. Sikes was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
