The passing of former Buffalo Bills Head Coach Chuck Knox had special meaning for Bills fans in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area...Knox was the team's head coach when the Bills brought their training camp to the State University of New York at Fredonia. The Bills had previously held their training camps at a number of locations including Niagara University. But in 1981, the NFL team signed an agreement with then Fredonia President Dallas Beal during a news conference held in Dr. Beal's Office. The training camp remained in Fredonia each summer until 2000 when it moved to its present location at St. John Fisher College near Rochester.
