The recent warm up has caused the ice cover on Lake Erie to make a rapid disappearance. Just last Saturday, about 80 percent of the lake was covered by ice, but according to the latest report from the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration, that's down to about 34 percent. Last year, there was no ice on Lake Erie. Temperatures will reach the 50s today, before colder air makes a return by late Thursday night into Friday.
