An incident in Jamestown that began as a neighbor dispute led to the discovery of a home in deplorable conditions. Jamestown Police responded to a harassment complaint at an address on the city's east side shortly before 3:45 PM Thursday and determined that 56-year-old Robert Overton, Jr. had allegedly made threats to his neighbor. He initially refused to exit the residence, but was taken into custody after a brief struggle. In addition to finding the home in deplorable condition, officers also discovered that 35-year-old Alana Overton also lived in the home, along with three children. As a result, she was taken into custody without incident. Robert and Alana are each charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, while Robert also faces counts of 2nd-degree harassment and resisting arrest.
