A school administrator who grew up in Chautauqua County has been named the new Director of Career & Technical Education, P-TECH and Program Innovation at Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES. The E2CCB Board of Education approved the appointment of Kourtney Almeida, who begins her new duties on November 30th. According to E2CCB, Almeida was the top choice after a search that began with 18 candidates and went through several rounds of committees and assigned tasks. Almeida, who has been an administrator for 11 years, was most recently the high school principal at Pine Valley Central School, where she has spent the past seven years. Prior to that, she worked at Randolph Central School as an assistant principal and as Director of Pupil Personnel Services.
Almeida succeeds Maureen Donahue, who has led the division for the past year as interim Director of CTE and P-TECH and will stay in the role during the transition.
