Motorists are still looking for relief at the gas pump as we enter the month of November. AAA reports that the averages at the national and state levels have dropped over the past week. Monday's national average fell nearly 12 cents per gallon to $4.17, while New York State's average went down by about four cents to $4.34. However, the average price across Chautauqua County increased by two cents and is now $4.41. One year ago, the national and state averages were $3.30 and $3.10, respectively.
While gas prices are down this week, high crude oil prices are limiting declines at the pump. As of Monday morning, oil prices ranged from $99-108 per barrel.
