The boil water order that's in place for Fredonia water customers could be lifted as early as Saturday. According to an update from the Fredonia Office of Emergency Management late Thursday morning, turbidity levels of treated water in the village's system have improved and stabilized, which will allow for the first set of samples to be collected. The second set of water samples will be collected Friday morning, and both samples will be analyzed by the Chautauqua County Public Health Laboratory. The village anticipates results to come in by Saturday morning. At this time, the boil order remains in effect.
