A second wave of regulatory reform actions through New York's EXPRESS NY initiative are designed to help bring down housing costs, increase access to child care, help small businesses thrive, and modernize state operations, according to Governor Kathy Hochul. This week, she announced 75 new actions across 17 state agencies that build on her first wave of 50 reforms that she announced in June. To date, EXPRESS NY has advanced actions spanning more than 20 state agencies and authorities. Hochul says the reforms will save New Yorkers tens of millions of dollars and an estimated five million hours in time previously wasted filling out unnecessary paperwork, waiting in line, navigating confusing instructions and websites.
