Abnormally dry conditions have persisted across parts of Western New York over the past few weeks, and that doesn't look like it will change anytime soon. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Erie counties are included in that "abnormally dry" level (shown in yellow) as of Tuesday. The National Weather Service in Buffalo is not forecasting any rain for Chautauqua County through at least next Thursday.
