Most of the fall foliage across the western Southern Tier has reached peak or is past peak, according to this week's report from I Love NY. Spotters at Chautauqua Institution are reporting 85% color change and peak conditions with bright-to-brilliant yellows, golds and oranges and some leaf droppage. In Cattaraugus County, 100% foliage change and past-peak conditions are being reported in Little Valley with bright reds and oranges, plus some yellow and significant droppage. Meanwhile, northern Chautauqua County and the Lake Erie shoreline are likely near-peak to peak with about 75% color change.
