One person was transported to an Erie hospital after a vehicle went into a ditch in the Town of Westfield on Sunday. Sherman firefighters and a Chautauqua County medic responded to Sherman-Westfield Road shortly before 7:15 PM. According to the Stanley Hose Company, fire personnel worked to safely extricate the victim from the deep ditch. He was taken to the Hamot Medical Center for injuries that were reported to be non-life threatening.
