
The Western New York Chamber Orchestra will open its 2026-2027 season at SUNY Fredonia on Sunday with a program titled "Meditations." The concert will begin at 3:00 PM in King Concert Hall and will feature the Fredonia Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Vernon Huff, Director of Choral Activities at Fredonia. The program features favorites from composers Gabriel Faure and Vaughan Williams, along with newer choral music from Morten Lauridsen.
The Western New York Chamber Orchestra, led by Artistic Director and Conductor Glen Cortese, is an ensemble in residence at the Fredonia School of Music. It is comprised of professional musicians from throughout Western New York and northwest Pennsylvania.
