County Legislators in Dunkirk Offering to Collect Curbside Brush

Two members of the Chautauqua County Legislature who represent the City of Dunkirk will be volunteering their services this week to collect brush from city residents who are having transportation hardship. Robert Bankoski and Marcus Buchanan are offering that assistance following the city's recent announcement that the DPW will not conduct its previously scheduled curbside brush pickup for September. You can e-mail Buchanan at [email protected] or Bankoski at [email protected]. The September curbside collection was cancelled because it is not funded, according to the city. The DPW site on West Lucas Avenue will be open throughout the week for residents who are able to drop off their brush.
